Living and working in the midwest, growing up in Wichita, KS and always being interested in art and arty things. As a kid, willing to do anything that could keep me in blue jeans/sweaters/boots and get my hands dirty: ceramics; painting, etc.
Silver work began as an adult in silversmithing classroom at City Arts. Always liked wielding a hammer, metal work seem a good fit, can swing a hammer and move metal.
Inspiration is everywhere. Mostly things that look like other things. Borrowing from nature : texture and color. Simple lines of tree bark, grasses, feathers, flowers, wind. Maybe why my pieces look and feel more organic ? Admiring architecture and the how and why lines work with circles or angles.
